Glen Rock police suspect that a nanny from Garfield who's charged with stealing $2,000 worth of electronics from her employers stole $18,500 worth of their jewelry, as well. NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Police are seeking a person suspected of stealing someone's credit cards and using them to buy jewelry and handbags in Trumbull and Greenwich. Police said that on Oct. 19, 2017, the suspect made several thousand dollars worth of fraudulent purchases of jewelry and handbags at the Trumbull Mall and at Saks Fifth Avenue in Greenwich, using the victim's store credit cards. DARIEN, Conn. — A resident of Allen O'Neill Drive reported that jewelry was stolen from her home during the holidays, Darien police said. The complaint was made Jan. 4, but the homeowner said the items were last seen the evening of Dec. 18, police said. She described the missing jewelry as a pair of “dangle” earrings worth $50 and a gold braided ring worth $500, police said. The items were taken from a drawer in her bathroom, police said.
