Police ID Missing CT Man After Canoe Found Overturned In Pond The search continues for a missing Connecticut man who vanished after going fishing at a pond in Westbrook, as the operation entered its fifth day Tuesday. Police discovered his overturned canoe and parked car nearby, but there has been no sign of him since late Wednesday, July 30. Andrew Corbett, 38, of Westbrook, was last seen that night at a CVS in Groton. His car was later found near the shoreline of Messerschmitt Pond, where authorities located his canoe, overturned in the water. Police ID Man Killed In CT Crash As 40-Year-Old; Other Driver Hospitalized A 40-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a two-vehicle crash that also sent another person to the hospital, authorities said. Kace Burwood, of Windsor Locks, died after being involved in a collision at the intersection of Mill Street and Berlin Street in Berlin around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5.
