An illegal stun gun was found during a routine traffic stop Monday, Oct. 5 on Long Island, police said.
Erica K. Paul, 28, of Jamaica, Queens, was driving through Water Mill when officers pulled her over around 11 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Montauk Highway and Rose Hill Road, the Southampton Town Police Department said.
Investigators discovered Paul’s vehicle registration sticker was forged, she was in possession of an electric stun gun device, and she was driving with a suspended license, police said.

Two Nurses Attacked By Patient At North Shore Hospital: Police
A New York City man being treated at a Long Island hospital punched two nurses who were caring for him Monday, Oct. 5, police said.
Oshane Bernard, 36, of Queens, was arrested at the scene at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Cops responded to an assault report inside the hospital around 3:30 p.m. Monday, authorities said. Inside, they learned Bernard became agitated and struck two nurses with a closed fist, according to police.

The suspected gunman in an Albany shooting that killed a 26-year-old man was arrested Monday, Oct. 5, police said.
Khaliq M. Ibrahim, 23, of Albany, was charged with second-degree murder for the killing of Arell K. Agapito, the Albany Police Department said.
Ibrahim was captured Monday morning in the area of South Allen Street and Cliff Street, police said.

Javier Antonio Lopez, 45, of Floral Park, was behaving erratically inside the fast food restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont around 6:30 a.m. Monday, the Nassau County Police Department said.

A Capital Region man broke a young kid’s arm and is now facing an assault charge, authorities said Monday, Oct. 5.
Anthony M. Lucarelli, 21, of Halfmoon, was charged Saturday, Oct. 3 with second-degree assault for the attack on the child, who was under 7 years old, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said.
An EMS call from a Halfmoon address on Sunday, Sept. 27 started the investigation, according to the sheriff’s office. First responders arrived at the home around 12 p.m. and transported the child victim to Albany Medical Center for treatment and evaluation, authorities said.

A Capital Region man was found in possession of child porn and an illegal gun following a search Thursday, Oct. 1, police said.
Scott Hammond, 38, of Nassau, was not allowed to own the weapon because he has a previous felony conviction, New York State Police said Monday, Oct. 5.
Troopers began investigating Hammond for child porn back in 2024, eventually leading to a search of his home on Thursday, authorities said. During that search, investigators also found a loaded long gun, according to state police.
